When it comes to oil control and non-striping cleansers, the La Roche Posay Cleanser is number one on the list. You guessed it - oil control is about a balance between these two extreme stages, and from experience, this cleanser is one of the best additions to my skincare regimen this year. For dry skin, the right cleanser can make or break your skin's moisture barrier if any over-stripping of oils happen in the cleansing process. This cleanser was made with these concerns in mind and specifically for dry and sensitive skin. With its promise to hydrate, nourish and calm the skin, a base containing oats and a formula that's hypoallergenic and non-comedogenic, this cleanser is a dry skin favorite.

Best Vitamin C All-Rounder: Glow Recipe Guava Vitamin C Dark Spot Serum

This product and brand were all the rage in 2023 and the Glow Recipe love continues in 2024. This serum claims to brighten skin, reduce the appearance of dark spots and even out uneven skin tone with the help of 5 forms of vitamin C, guava, and tranexamic & ferulic acids. After replacing my last vitamin c serum with this one, I can safely recommend this. No breakouts, no greasy residue. Yes to clear and more even skin.

Best Hydrating Glass Skin Serum: Peach & Lily Glass Skin Refining Serum

In an attempt to achieve the glass skin look myself, I googled away for product recommendations. My search led me to this serum. A cocktail of peach extract, niacinamide, East Asian mountain yam, madecassoside, peptides, and hyaluronic acid, the product claims to and actually did visibly hydrate, calm, brighten and firm my skin. The result was a healthy glow and a great base to layer more skincare products and rid dull skin.

Best Essence: Fenty FAT WATER HYDRATING MILKY TONER ESSENCE WITH HYALURONIC ACID + TAMARIND

The name FAT Water had heads turning when this product launched. It had high claims of strengthening the skin's moisture barrier, reducing the appearance of pores and uneven skin, and hydrate with the top-notch trio of HA, tamarind, niacinamide and more. Folks with drier to normal skin soaked the product right up but I was skeptical about trying it out with slightly oiler skin. I was happily mistaken with one use providing a whole day's worth of hydration and a soft, smooth and plump base with only a few drops of product (especially during fall and winter months).

Best Sunscreen: Supergoop Unseen Sunscreen SPF 40

With a weightless finish, no white cast or grease, I fell in love with the Supergoop sunscreen. Whether the climate is bone dry or unbelievably humid, this sunscreen performed at a 100% through and through. It's a staple in my skincare routine.

Best Cleansing Balm: Junoco Clean 10 Cleansing Balm

Japanese skincare has been one to watch out for in the past few years and especially so in the cleansing balm market. Within 10 simple yet effective ingredients this oil-based cleansing balm dissolves even the toughest waterproof makeup. It was my tried-and-true step cleanser in my double cleansing routine (along with the aforementioned La Roche Posay cleanser) throughout my wedding season. I can confirm that it does the job well.

Note: Might be a bit harsh on sensitive eyes.

Best Beginner-Friendly Eye Cream: CeraVe Eye Repair Cream

With peptides, niacinamides, 3 essential ceramides and caffeine, this beginner-friendly eye cream is a soothing drink of water for the delicate skin around the eye. Zero irritation with high levels of comfort, this is a great everyday eye cream (day and night in my opinion) for those just starting out their skincare routine.

Best Lip Mask: Laniege Lip Sleeping Mask Intense Hydration with Vitamin C

Another industry favorite and for a reason, this lip mask breathed life into my dry lips and turned them into supple and soft beauties. Though it is advertised as a Sleeping Mask, a dot on the lips during the day can do wonders in place of a lip balm.

Best Snail Mucin Product for ALL: Peach Slices Snail Rescue Moisturizer

Snail mucin is all the rage with its claim to fame resting in hydration, minimizing redness, evening out skin, and keeping the youthful look alive in the skin. And this moisturizer did not disappoint. Its lightweight texture makes it a comfortable wear that doesn't leave the skin thirsty by the end of the night. When a bit more hydration is needed for any skin type, this has served a budget-friendly and layer-able go-to for many months.

Best Moisturizer for Normal to Oily Skin: FAB Coconut Water Cream

Whether skin's at its dullest, oiliest or feeling average, it still needs moisturizer. That is where this water cream saves the day.
